Twenty-three brave Road Scholars set out to conquer the hills and mountains of Big Bend National Park, about six hours southeast of El Paso, in Western Texas. It was quite an adventure and at times I was looking for the Mars Rover to come pick me up and bring me back to the comforts of the Chisos Mountain Lodge. This simple website is designed as a way for members to share their pictures and the adventures of the trip. Links above to each page will provide us with a little summary of the day, and will also contain a link to the pictures that the group has contributed to this project for that day. Betty and Henry Horn did a fantastic job organizing and interpreting their photos and the whole Big Bend National Park adventure. Rather than trying to force their work into the format that we are using on this website, we have devoted a separate section for their 305 photos and interpretation.
