John Rucker

  Noted events in his life were:

1. Biography. He was captain in the Colonial Militia of Orange Co., Virginia in 1740 and was ordered in 1731 with William Lightfoot to "pitch on a place near a good spring of water". This place is now known as Ruckersville, Green Co., Virginia.
Will Book, p.48, St. Marks Parish, Orange Co, Va. Wil mentions his wife Susannah and lists children; includes Benjamin.l

John married Susannah.
