Some doubt about exactly where he was born in England. There are a lot of Meriwether families in and around Kent County, but direct linkage has not been achieved.

2. Occupation: Legal clerk, legal representative, planter, Justice.

3. Alt. Death: Possible alternate place of death, 19 Dec 1678, Jamestown, James City, Virginia, USA. Speculation by Meriwether Society Research.

Nicholas married Elizabeth Unknown about 1661 in Virginia. (Elizabeth Unknown was born about 1638.)

Nicholas next married Elizabeth Woodhouse, daughter of Captain Henry Woodhouse II and Frances, about 1664 in Virginia. (Elizabeth Woodhouse was born about 1638 and died before Apr 1695 in , Surry, Virginia, USA.)
