  Noted events in her life were:

1. Education. Eleanor graduated from Kearny High School and attended secretarial school.

2. Employment. Eleanor worked during the war years for Western Electric Company in Kearny as a typist and stenographer. She later became secretary for the North Reformed Church in Newark, NJ. She left this job when the family moved to GA in 1948. Upon returning to NJ she worked is a secretary for various employers. At her death, she was a Legal Secretary for a law firm in NJ.

In addition she managed to do all of the household jobs associated with those of a homemaker while raising a bright little boy (me!).
