After Lunch, we toured the Copan Sculpture Museum.
The next day, we toured the Mayatan Bilingual School, a Pre-K
to 9th grade school with 300 students.
On the way, we did a bus tour of some of the Mayan rural homes along the road,
then on to visit with
a local archaeologist who, with his family, have a small business making
chocolate and cocoa products.
After lunch, it was on to the local Copan museum to view
artifacts that had been found at the Copan
archaeological site. On the way, I snapped a picture of an elderly Mayan
lady resting by a wall. I couldn't
help but contemplate how different our life experiences were.
