She has inherited a tremendous acerage from her first husband and the storied "Music Hall" near Charlottesville today is the historic home she inherited from Nicholas Meriwether and where she and Dr. Walker raised their large family."

Thomas married Mildred Thornton, daughter of Colonel Francis Thornton Jr.. and Mary Taliaferro. (Mildred Thornton was born on 19 Mar 1721 in , Louisa, VA. USA.)
