He was a sheriff, Her third husband was Thomas Hord, who owned a 1300 acre farm at Stone River Battle Field, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It was his second marriage. During the battle, the piano was used as an operating table by the Yankees. A cannon ball came through an upstairs window, during the battle. The space was later converted into a window.
